Our verdict
The MK4S is a $1,099 open-frame machine with a bed that reaches 120°C and a hotend that reaches 290°C — which means it prints 4 of our 10 materials clean, 6 more with mods, and none are off the table. It ships open-frame, but the official enclosure kit upgrades it into ABS/ASA territory when you outgrow PLA and PETG.
For carbon-fiber filaments budget a hardened nozzle swap (a $15–30 part) — the stock nozzle will not survive abrasive blends. Multi-color is on the table via MMU3 (optional add-on).
